Friday & Saturday storm

Published on 18th December 2018 in Uncategorised

The course was hit by a massive storm on Friday afternoon resulting in 30mm of rain in a couple of hours. The course held up really well considering the deluge and members enjoyed a terrific course for most of Saturday until the heavens opened again about 3pm with 35mm falling in a short time. Fortunately we did not suffer like Pennant Hills (see photo below of collapsed bridge) and apart from the bunkers the course was again very playable on Sunday.

Unfortunately on Sunday one of our members drove on the new turf beside the ladies 10th tee resulting in significant damage (pictured). The maintenance team had to spend a significant amount of time on Monday repairing the damage when their time would have been better spent repairing the bunker washouts. We do not like putting ropes up everywhere however have found it necessary to protect these newly turfed areas.

Another group was pictured with the cart right beside the 17th green. Please keep carts to the paths where possible and well away from tees and greens. Thank you.
