Dear Members,<\/p>\n
Following John’s extended annual leave trip to the US\/Europe, he has returned to work, witnessed it being capably managed by Daniel and has formally advised the Board of his official resignation date on 31 August 2025.<\/p>\n
GM, John “Harro” Harrison, joined us in late 2015, at a time when the Club was going through some testing times, both financially and personnel wise. If ever there is a cliche of someone rolling their sleeves up and getting into it, John embodied this. A 100% can do attitude from day dot and didn’t he get stuff done. After facing some serious challenges and curve balls, he can proudly look back at innumerable achievements, crack open a beer, enjoy his golf, and savour the thought of, in his words, retirement but not retirement, if that makes sense.<\/p>\n
Post John leaving, the Board has unanimously agreed that Daniel Paton be given the opportunity to take on the General Manager’s role, subject to an interim review period.<\/p>\n
Once again,\u00a0congratulations<\/span>\u00a0to John on an incredibly successful career and particularly on the wonderful job he has done at Monash Country Club. It is an understatement to say that Club is in a far better position than how he found it. His enthusiasm and can do attitude throughout his time here has resonated with members and staff and is a key reason the Club is as strong as it is today.<\/p>\n Fortunately, we will not lose his smile from around the Club, with John staying on as member. If you see his name on the sheet, jump in and enjoy his company.<\/p>\n In terms of farewells, John has opted for a low-key affair.
