Member Card mandatory for account purchases from February 1st

Dear Members,

As a result of COVID 19 the Club took the opportunity to transition to a cashless business. This has worked very well. However, in recent months members have slipped back to verbally quoting their membership number to staff instead of producing their membership card. This has resulted in multiple errors in members accounts which has meant that our office staff are wasting considerable time resolving avoidable billing issues and/or in some cases the club is losing revenue as the numbers quoted are incorrect or misheard.

So, as of the 1st of February 2021, the Board have decided it will be mandatory for all members to present and scan their membership card for all purchases, no matter how well known they are to the staff member. Please do not get upset with staff as they have been instructed that no card = no purchase. If a member does not possess their membership card, they will be asked to pay via credit/debit card.

If any member requires a new members card, staff are on hand in the office to print a new one.  To save time, members can email Melinda on membership@monashcc.com.au and can collect their new card from the Proshop.

We appreciate your understanding on this matter as it will create a smoother system moving forward and protect members against subsiding other member purchases.
