Club Captains Announcement 6 July 2021

Dear Members, 

I am sure that many of you are aware of the current difficulties in booking competition tee times particularly for weekend rounds.

We are reviewing the situation daily and are again forced to modify the bookings for all competitions to try and allow all members a reasonable opportunity to book on the days they wish to play and complete 18 holes.

It is envisaged that these restrictions will stay in place until travel restrictions are lifted and the demand for golf bookings returns to a more normal situation.

The problem is not endemic to Monash as the majority of clubs have had to introduce restrictions to allow an equitable distribution of games between all members.

Unfortunately numerous members have chosen not to comply with the previous arrangements.

From today the following arrangements will apply.

*Play a maximum rounds as follows (this includes competition and social).
*Platinum/7day 3 times per week (But only 1 on weekend/*see below).
*White 2 times per week.
* Active Green 2 times per week (1 competition and 1 social).

*From now forward any bookings in excess of the above allowance will be deleted without notice. (the period in question will be Monday to Sunday each week with the first period being 5 July to 11 July).

For example – A Platinum member booked for Monday/Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday.

The Sunday booking will be deleted.

*A reminder that, Full-time working Platinum or 7day members who cannot book a round of golf Monday to Friday, please apply to for an exemption to play both Saturday and Sunday comp. Bookings made without exemption will be deleted.

Obviously, none of the above arrangements are perfect or will solve the problems until we return to a more normal situation. But if every member tries to do the right thing to help it will make it better for all.
