Welcome Back News – Priority Booking Rights

As the Government moves towards relaxing the lock-down rules effective 11^th October, the whole club is gearing up for a “Welcome Back” month for our Out of Zone members. The first thing we need to do is to get our Out of Zone members back onto the beautiful Monash golf course, catching up with their friends.

So, from October 11^th (barring any last-minute Government changes), all double vaccinated Out of Zone 5 Day, 7 Day and Platinum members will be provided with priority booking rights for an initial period of 4 weeks. To assist you having a game with a regular playing partner, you will be able to nominate an additional player to play with you on each day. This player can be an Out of Zone or In Zone player. Please note that your booking days must coincide with your membership category. Green Out of Zone members will be provided with an additional 4 “pre-3pm” games for use during the remainder of this membership year.

The goal of this process is to get as many of our wonderful members back playing golf and back in the clubhouse as quickly as possible. I have been reliably informed (not having played myself) that many members believe that the course is in the best condition it has ever been, so expectations are high! With Daylight Savings commencing next week, we are confident everyone will get a game on the days of their choice and for those who are double vaccinated, enjoy something to eat and a beverage before and/or after each game. The traditional Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday competitions will recommence from 12^th October.

For the current In Zone players, you will continue to book in the normal manner with your normal booking rights applied. However, when the sheets open, they will be pre-populated with those Out of Zone players who we have already entered onto the sheet. Having had this wonderful Monash facility at your disposal for some 15 weeks, it is time to provide access to those who in many cases, have struggled to get any games over the whole period.

Please note we believe the Health Orders will at this stage preclude unvaccinated or single vaccinated Out of Zone members from returning to Monash. For all others, it is imperative that we have sighted your Vaccination Certificate prior to entering the Club. It is embarrassing for all if we are unable let you into our facilities.
