The final round of the Silver II pennant competition was due to be played on Friday 5th April at Pennant Hills but a decision was made to close the course early on the Friday morning due to rain. Unfortunately that meant that the Monash team, sitting equal first on 8 points with Elanora, did not get a chance to compete for a win in the final round. What made matters worse was that the Elanora team were ahead by 0.5 games giving Elanora the win with Monash a very close second. The Monash team had played some terrific golf and had high expectations that they could win the salver so a disappointing end to the competition. The squad, managed seamlessly by field captain Simone Allaway, was Carol Zhang, Anne May, Lily Liu, Bets Gregory, Young Kim, Sharon Wilson, Fiona Dunagan, Eileen Rodwell, Bev Brocklehurst and Louise Ferreira.
